About the role
The American Alliance of Museums seeks a dynamic individual to join its team as a Marketing Specialist. This position is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to enhance the visibility and impact of AAM's initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote AAM's events, publications, and resources.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and organizational goals.
- Manage social media platforms to engage with the museum community and increase online presence.
- Research and analyze market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Work closely with the Communications Director to produce high-quality content for various channels.
Requirements
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in marketing or communications.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
Qualifications
- Experience working with museums or cultural institutions is preferred.
- Knowledge of non-profit organizations and their marketing needs is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Pay
$50,000 - $60,000 annually.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
