About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coach to lead and develop a successful Cross Country program at Eagle Point High School for the 2026-2027 academic year. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting student-athletes both on and off the field, fostering a positive athletic environment, and upholding the educational mission of Eagle Point School District.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement training programs that enhance the skills and performance of cross country athletes
  • Manage team logistics, including scheduling practices, meets, and travel arrangements
  • Work closely with the Athletic Director and other coaches to ensure the success of the program
  • Attend and participate in district and state competitions
  • Support the school’s mission and values through positive interactions with students, parents, and community members

Requirements

  • NFHS Certification (National Federation of State High School Associations)
  • Completion of all OSAA Certifications
  • Valid First Aid Card, including CPR and AED training
  • Successful completion of District Fingerprinting/Criminal Background Check
  • All required School District employment paperwork completed
  • Completion of Safe Schools training modules

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a passion for coaching and a strong commitment to the development of young athletes. Experience coaching cross country is preferred but not required. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Benefits

This position offers a stipend of $2,764 per district agreement, subject to change. The position also provides an opportunity to support a dynamic and growing high school athletics program.

Schedule

The contract days for this position are as outlined in the District Agreement.
