Key Responsibilities
- Aid in overseeing accounting operations for multiple entities within the construction and real estate portfolio.
- Prepare and review closing statement journal entries and loan closing journal entries.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Cook up and coordinate with audit preparation and external auditor requests.
- Manage and monitor job cost accounting activities.
- Support corporate banking functions, cash management, and reconciliations.
- Assist with property tax appeal processes and documentation.
- Work closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Utilize JD Edwards (JDE) for accounting operations, reporting, and financial management.
- Prepare financial analyses and reports using advanced Excel functions including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience within Construction and/or Real Estate industries.
- Strong background in: Cost segregation, Property tax appeals, Job costing, Audit preparation, Corporate banking, Closing statement journal entries, Loan closing journal entries.
- Current hands-on experience with JD Edwards (JDE) is required and non-negotiable.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Must be local and within a reasonable commute distance (less than one hour).
