Assistant Cook
Average hourly rate is $15.00 (including wage, incentives, bonuses, overtime, shift differential, etc.).
About the role
As a cook, you will plan and assist in the preparation of nutritious and healthy meals and snacks for residents. Utilizing the National School Lunch and other federal programs to plan meals that meet nutritional values daily. You will work to build healthy relationships with residents through daily interactions while serving meals and snacks. You will be part of our Blue Skies team helping our at-risk youth grow and develop.
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare nutritious and healthy meals and snacks for residents
- Utilize the National School Lunch and other federal programs to ensure meals meet nutritional standards
- Build healthy relationships with residents through daily interactions while serving meals and snacks
- Ensure documentation for all federal programs meets standards with fidelity
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Personal characteristics that align with the agency’s values: respectful, integrity, and commitment to creating a safe learning environment
- Enjoys engaging with residents as they learn, grow, and reach their goals
- Completion of Predictive Index assessment (takes 5-7 minutes, no right or wrong answers)
