About the role

Assistant Cooks at Delaware Valley Job Corps, located in Callicoon, NY, will assist with preparing and serving meals for students. They will also help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment, wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and support overall kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Keep serving lines stocked and running smoothly
• Provide friendly, respectful interaction with students
• Support and mentor students involved in hands-on learning

Requirements

No specific education level or experience required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous food service experience preferred
• Ability to obtain ServSafe certification
• Reliable, team-oriented, and customer-focused
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
