About the role
The Assistant Controller is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial advice to senior management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial reporting processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Manage budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and present financial analyses and reports to senior management
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure audit readiness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of finance experience, preferably in a managerial capacity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Experience with financial software such as QuickBooks or SAP
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
