Assistant Controller

About the role

Our Indianapolis plant is seeking an experienced Cost Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cost analysis to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
• Aid in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cost of production statements.
• Support the forecast and budgeting process and provide analysis on variances between actual results and forecasts, and communicate to key plant leaders.
• Help maintain and enhance internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Continuously improve work procedures and processes, including documentation, process mapping, and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive work experience in Finance.
• Expert level experience in Microsoft suite of products, especially Excel.
• Proficiency in Power query, Power BI.
• Experience in a manufacturing or similar working environment.
