Assistant Controller

• Competitive Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 per year

About the Role

Our finance team plays a strategic role in supporting business decisions through accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and collaborative partnerships across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of corporate accounting operations.
• Cook up monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
• Aid in preparing and consolidating financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Support compliance with banking covenants, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
• Aid in treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting and banking relationships.
• Manage insurance administration and annual renewals.
• Support ERP enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
• Aid in accounting and reporting activities related to joint venture operations.
• Cook up intercompany reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Partner with finance, operations, and business leaders to improve reporting accuracy.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's preferred).
• CPA preferred.
• 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Mechanics or industrial accounting experience preferred.
• Experience supporting audits and financial compliance.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Lean, or Six Sigma is a plus.
