As the Assistant Controller, you'll serve as a key finance leader responsible for manufacturing accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, project accounting, internal controls, and continuous process improvement. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Project Management, and executive leadership, you'll help provide the financial insight needed to drive operational excellence and profitable growth. What You'll Do As an Assistant Controller, you'll lead critical accounting functions while serving as a strategic business partner across ENTEK's manufacturing operations. In This Role, You Will Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate U.S. GAAP financial reportingReview and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, estimates, and management reportingOversee manufacturing accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, labor and overhead absorption, production variances, scrap, yield, and inventory reservesManage project accounting from contract setup through closeout, including budgets, forecasting, profitability analysis, and change order accountingAdminister percentage-of-completion revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606Analyze key manufacturing performance metrics, including labor efficiency, material usage, purchase price variance, inventory turns, gross margins, and operational performancePartner with Operations and Engineering to improve plant profitability and support capital investment decisionsPrepare budgets, financial forecasts, and operational analyses to support business planningMaintain and strengthen internal controls while supporting annual external auditsLead ERP optimization, automation, and financial process improvement initiativesSupport software implementations and continuous improvement projects across the Finance organizationDevelop, coach, mentor, and support accounting team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvementCollaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insight that supports strategic decision-makingBuild strong partnerships with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Project Management, and FP&A teams Requirements: What We're Looking For We're seeking a collaborative finance leader with strong manufacturing accounting experience, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceFive (5) or more years of progressive accounting experience, including at least three (3) years supporting manufacturing operationsStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognitionExperience with manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and standard costingExperience with project accounting and percentage-of-completion accountingExperience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365, SAP, Oracle, or similar platformsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferredCertified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plusExperience with Power BI or other business intelligence toolsExperience leading ERP implementations or financial process improvement initiativesExperience developing and mentoring accounting professionalsStrong understanding of manufacturing operations and operational finance Your Work Schedule This is a full-time, exempt position working Monday through Friday in Henderson, Nevada. The role is primarily office-based with regular collaboration throughout ENTEK's manufacturing operations and occasional time spent on the production floor supporting operational initiatives.
