Responsibilities
Assist Controller will work directly with Controller ensuring the department is operating efficiently and information is accurate.
Accountant/Assistant Controller is Accountable for:
- Budget
- Aid in establishing annual budgets
- Create monthly WIP
- Maintain billable hours and reimbursements
- Identify areas for improvement
- Report to project managers
- Ensure complete and accurate billing
- Work closely with Project Managers
- Verify monthly billing/cost numbers
- Communicate issues to project managers
- Process payroll bi-weekly
- Manage insurance compliance
- Onboard/offboard employees
Client Satisfaction:
- Invoices should look clear and professional
- Build relationships with team members
- Help team members puzzle through problems
- Take an interest in employee’s lives and careers
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in GAAP
- Knowledge and experience in software(s): Sage300CRE, Office 365, Excel, Word, Electronic timesheets such as HH2 or E-time, Payroll Services such as Paychex and ADP, CMiC experience is a plus
