As a multi-craft union contractor, we offer civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical services for new construction and maintenance/retrofit projects across power generation, metals, pulp/paper, plastics, and chemical markets.
About the role
Supports management of field construction activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily field operations.
- Coordinate Superintendent activities.
- Monitor productivity and progress.
- Support work planning efforts.
- Assist with field issue resolution.
- Support project reporting and coordination.
- Facilitate communication between disciplines.
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience.
- Heavy Industrial work experience preferred.
- Experience with projects $50M or above.
- Design-Build experience a plus.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Decision-making skills.
- Effective listening skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Primavera.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Degree in Construction Management and/or engineering preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
- May have to walk up flights of stairs, uneven surfaces, or climb a ladder.
