Assistant Community Manager

About the role
The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in daily operations to ensure optimal community performance in leasing, marketing, compliance, accounting, and resident satisfaction. This role requires experience with tax credit housing.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Community Manager in all aspects of daily community operations.
- Perform accounting tasks including rent collection, fee posting, month-end processing, move-ins, move-outs, and zero receipts.
- Resolve accounting issues with the Accounting Department and maintain accurate Yardi/resident management software data.
- Support marketing and leasing efforts through social media, reputation management, advertising, curb appeal, and pricing.
- Engage with prospective residents via lead management software, tours, applications, and tax credit processes.
- Administer lease agreements, renewals, prospect screening, and legal notices while ensuring compliance.
- Address resident questions, concerns, and service issues promptly, collaborating with Resident Relations as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospects, and guests.
- Participate in resident events, community programs, and local/non-profit initiatives.
- Assist with tax credit compliance, including rent monitoring, move-ins, re-certifications, and reporting.
- Act as onsite supervisor in the Community Manager’s absence and submit required reports on time.
- Maintain open communication with the Community Manager and escalate concerns regarding employees, the community, or the neighborhood.
- Document and report injuries/incidents per company guidelines.
- Build positive relationships with local housing authorities and agencies.
- Implement new systems, programs, and procedures as directed by the company.
- Adhere to company policies, use technology effectively, and collaborate with team members.
- Pursue training opportunities and stay updated on industry/legal trends.

Pay
$24.00–$30.00 per hour.
Schedule
Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
