Assistant Coach – Wrestling (Boys) - Lee's Summit West HS

About the role

The assistant coach is responsible for assisting with planning, managing and directing the high school boys Wrestling team program for the 2026-27 school year.

Responsibilities

• Assistant coaching the boys Wrestling team.
• Assist with managing all aspects of the program including practicing, competing, providing off-season improvement opportunities to include strength and conditioning and full usage of contact days.
• Marketing and promoting the boys Wrestling program.
• Assistant coaching, guiding, and providing feedback to student athletes.
• Scouting opponents.
• Assist with managing a fiscally sound budget.
• Assist with monitoring class schedules, grades and student-athlete academic progress, and intervening where appropriate.
• Responsible for boys Wrestling student-athlete retention.
• Articulation with the feeder middle school program.
• Providing summer camp opportunities for elementary and/or middle school students.
