Assistant Coach, Women's Basketball - UT Southern

Responsibilities

• Facilitate practices, conditioning and competitions for women's basketball.
• Coordinate event day logistics.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as gym floor upkeep.
• Teach activity courses (when applicable).
• Run sport-specific tasks including team study tables and academic progress.
• Maintain team social media accounts.
• Recruit highly competitive student athletes that align with UT Southern's culture.
• Provide structure and mentorship to student-athletes.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols (CPR and AED Certification).

Qualifications

• One year of coaching experience at High School, NAIA, NCAA, or NJCAA level, or two years as a graduate assistant or high-level AAU experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, Master's degree preferred.
• Colegiate playing experience in basketball.
• Valid driver's license.
• Licensed to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need for sponsorship for employment visa status.
