About the role
The position is a seasonal stipend assistant coach with a salary range of $3,394 to $4,185. The schedule is for middle school coaches, with placement based on years of coaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Coaching responsibilities vary based on the sport and team needs.
- Must adhere to district and WIAA requirements, including background checks and first aid/CPR certifications.
- Attend annual WIAA clinics and KSD Vector Training requirements.
- Complete Concussion recognition and management training every three years.
- Complete Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness and Training every three years.
- Participate in Coaching Principles training or equivalent before the third year of coaching.
- Read and sign the KSD Coaches Manual.
Requirements
- Paid positions require meeting district and WIAA requirements, including a valid background check.
- Head coaching positions require being at least 21 years old.
- Athletic director monitoring of applicant pools and contact with qualified applicants.
Qualifications
- Valid first aid and CPR card.
- Completed WIAA general rules clinic and sport-specific clinics.
- Successfully completed Concussion recognition and management training.
- Successfully completed Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness and Training.
- Completed Coaching Principles training or equivalent.
