Assistant Coach - Track

About the role

The position is a seasonal stipend assistant coach with a salary range of $3,394 to $4,185. The schedule is for middle school coaches, with placement based on years of coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Coaching responsibilities vary based on the sport and team needs.
• Must adhere to district and WIAA requirements, including background checks and first aid/CPR certifications.
• Attend annual WIAA clinics and KSD Vector Training requirements.
• Complete Concussion recognition and management training every three years.
• Complete Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness and Training every three years.
• Participate in Coaching Principles training or equivalent before the third year of coaching.
• Read and sign the KSD Coaches Manual.

Requirements

• Paid positions require meeting district and WIAA requirements, including a valid background check.
• Head coaching positions require being at least 21 years old.
• Athletic director monitoring of applicant pools and contact with qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Valid first aid and CPR card.
• Completed WIAA general rules clinic and sport-specific clinics.
• Successfully completed Concussion recognition and management training.
• Successfully completed Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness and Training.
• Completed Coaching Principles training or equivalent.

Skills
