Assistant Coach - Girls Basketball

Pay

Stipend range: $4,392 – $6,838. Placement based on years of coaching experience per the High School Coaches Salary Schedule.

Requirements

• Meet district and WIAA requirements, including a valid background check.
• Head coaching applicants must be at least 21 years old; assistant coaching applicants must be at least 19 years old.
• Possess a valid first aid and CPR card.
• Complete the KSD online application process including professional reference forms.
• Annually complete the WIAA general rules clinic, the WIAA‑approved rule clinic for the sport being coached, and the KSD Vector Training prior to the start of the sports season.
• Have successfully completed Concussion recognition and management with Return‑to‑Play Protocols training (required by Washington State Law, renewed every three years).
• Have successfully completed Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness and Training (required by Washington State Law, renewed every three years).
• Before the beginning of the third year of coaching, complete a school district‑approved Coaching Principles training, or the NFHS Coaches Fundamentals Course, or attend all sessions of the WIAA Coaches School (or other WIAA‑approved Coaches School); repeat this training every three years thereafter.
• Building athletic directors will monitor the applicant pool and contact applicants as needed.
• If hired, read and sign the KSD Coaches Manual.
