Assistant Coach-Fixed Term

Responsibilities

• Aid the Head Coach with the Varsity and Novice programs
• Support all aspects of on and off-campus recruiting
• Organize team training, practice sessions, and competitions
• Plan fundraising and alumni relations activities
• Plan team travel and logistics
• Manage facility and equipment inventory and maintenance
• Drive trailers, rig equipment, and perform maintenance and repairs
• Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Intercollegiate racing experience
• Three years coaching experience at a highly competitive university level team
• Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with prospective and current student-athletes, staff, and University personnel
• Commitment to responsibility for adhering to all policies, rules, and regulations of MSU, the Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA
• Computer skills necessary
