Assistant Clinical Director

About the Role

Bay Cove Academy is a therapeutic day school specializing in trauma-informed services for students ages 12-22 with complex trauma histories, mental health issues, educational challenges, and/or behavioral difficulties. The school offers a supportive environment addressing education, clinical, pre-vocational, recreational, and behavioral needs, including individual, group, nursing, and milieu counseling.

As the Assistant Clinical Director, you will assist in leading a dynamic clinical team, providing direct oversight and supervision of all clinicians and clinical services in collaboration with the Clinical Director. You will work with evidence-based modalities such as ARC, CBT, DBT, and Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight and supervision of clinicians and clinical services in tandem with the Clinical Director.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Director and Administrative team to establish and maintain a shared vision for programmatic clinical services.
• Maintain positive relationships with outside agencies, families, and other involved parties.
• Create a safe and therapeutic community by supporting students in developing and role-modeling effective coping strategies.
• Help students develop life skills such as cooking, banking, vocational skills, and more to foster competence and self-worth.
• Support students in developing a sense of self and the skills needed for future success.
• Provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to ensure a safe therapeutic environment.
• Transport students as required (valid driver’s license necessary).

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• LICSW or LMHC required; clinical management experience preferred.
• Available to work evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts as required.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license (transporting students is required).
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $69,000 to $84,000 per year. The actual compensation offered may vary based on experience, education, licensure, certifications, and qualifications.
