SUMMARY

Incumbents prosecute misdemeanor criminal offenses and code violations in Municipal and Superior Court with supervision. Incumbents have knowledge in specialized areas of law such as criminal law, and search and seizure. Incumbents conduct research, prepare motions, try criminal cases, draft appellate briefs, and argue appellate cases, usually with the guidance of more senior attorneys. Incumbents may provide assistance to Senior Assistant City Prosecutors.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Juris Doctor

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be a member of the State Bar of Arizona, and possess a current and active license to practice law in the State of Arizona.
