About the role
The Assistant Chief of Anesthesia (CRNA) supports the operational, clinical, and administrative leadership of the Anesthesia Department. This role assists the Chief CRNA in coordinating anesthesia services, managing staffing and workflow, ensuring competency and compliance, and fostering effective communication among CRNAs, anesthesiologists, perioperative leadership, and other clinical teams.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Chief CRNA in coordinating anesthesia services.
- Manages staffing and workflow to ensure efficient operation of the department.
- Ensures competency and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Fosters effective communication among CRNAs, anesthesiologists, perioperative leadership, and other clinical teams.
- Serves as a resource, mentor, and liaison to support the CRNA team.
Requirements
- Current RN license with the North Carolina State Board of Nursing or Compact License recognized by the North Carolina State Board of Nursing.
- Current North Carolina CRNA certification on NCBON for expanded Role Nursing.
- Master's degree required; doctoral preparation (PhD, DNAP, DNP) preferred.
- Certification/Recertification by the AANA Council on Certification/Recertification.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification with American Heart Association.
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience as a CRNA.
- Prior leadership or administrative experience preferred.

Salary Min: $94.65 Salary Max: $146.71 per hour
