Assistant Cheer Coach

Part-time Assistant Coach position at Midway University supporting the Cheer program.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to University and NAIA policies and procedures.
• Assist in administering the cheer program, including recruiting, budgeting, travel, and tournament preparations.
• Help ensure all team members complete required eligibility forms before participating.
• Coordinate and evaluate coaching/training sessions, applying effective principles, techniques, strategies, and methods to develop sport proficiency; observe student-athletes during practice to identify growth opportunities.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding office and team-related issues.
• Assist in driving vans to and from events.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level is highly desirable.
• Ability to coach and recruit skilled student-athletes is preferred.
• Background and driving record check required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
