Assistant Case Manager

About the role

Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS) is a Christian agency dedicated to providing Christ-centered care and support to children and families in need. We offer 14 programs and services across 28 locations in Texas, Missouri, and Louisiana, aiming to provide permanent homes for children and increased self-sufficiency for adults.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation and supervision of visits for children and families within the Foster Care Case Management (FCCM) program.
• Works in a typical office setting and from home or other community locations as per a flexible work agreement.
• Meets clients in various settings such as homes, foster homes, residential facilities, hospitals, or other community locations.
• Drives an automobile on a routine basis in all types of areas.
• Lifts up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Operates standard office machines such as computers, copiers, calculators, telephones, and other equipment.
• Visits more than one family per day.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and risk-free driving record.
• Child abuse/neglect, criminal history, sexual offender, and childcare/elder care disqualification list screenings.
• American Red Cross first aid and CPR certification.
• Pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undergo background checks.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity sufficient for operating office machines.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to drive safely and regularly.
• Patience and empathy towards clients.
