Assistant Caregiver, Memory Care

About the Role

The Assistant Caregiver provides assistance to residents in a manner that meets or exceeds community expectations. You may be required to respond to emergency calls and situations; document and report care provided; and transport residents to various functions or locations. Familiarity and willingness to work with the elderly population is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with assistance in the activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans as well as obtain vital signs.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• All state educational requirements for the position must be met.
• CPR certification.
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful demeanor is appreciated.
• If not certified, must be able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire, if required.
