Assistant CAD Systems Manager

Responsibilities

• Aid project teams in utilizing Bentley engineering software, supporting workflows from 3D modeling through design and production.
• Contribute to the development of software templates and resource files aligned with client standards for efficient roadway, drainage, and utility design.
• Provide technical support to project teams via online training, direct troubleshooting, and maintaining documentation of support solutions.
• Support project setup and configuration to ensure efficient CAD workflows.
• Test, refine, and document CAD-based workflows using the latest software and hardware technologies.
• Affiliate in creating and maintaining CAD training materials, including manuals and instructional videos.
• Troubleshoot design file, workspace, and file management issues.
• Stay informed on emerging industry trends and technological advancements to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate and recommend software plugins and extensions to enhance program capabilities.
• Affiliate in managing CAD software licensing, version upgrades, and deployment coordination with IT.
• Affiliate macros, scripts, or automation routines to reduce repetitive tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering design production using Bentley software.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads (Connect Edition), ProjectWise, PowerGeopak.
• Familiarity with ESRI, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoTurn, ConceptStation, LumenRT, OpenBridge, SignCAD, StormCAD, and SUDA preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and communication skills with the ability to provide technical support to project teams.
