A Day In The Life

As the Assistant Buyer, you will support and execute on the buying process for the Tory Burch online business in North America. The typical day is… atypical. You will be participating in the building of the assortment during markets and assist the team in identifying future product opportunities, trends, and class-level offerings to drive sales. You will assist the buyer in providing end-of-season hindsight and identify opportunities – product, shape, class, and color analysis. You have a passion for accuracy and will manage weekly business reporting, shipping updates and help maintain seasonal markdowns in SAP along with order entry process. You will build strong cross functional partnership with Planning, Site Merchandising, and Digital Operations for delivery updates, sample tracking, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred (business or fashion related discipline a plus)
  • 1 year + of retail buying experience in a luxury or service driven environment
  • Ability to build partnership with direct managers and cross functional partners
  • Analyze the business to gain an understanding of prior performance and develop future goals
  • Maintain complex spreadsheets and create and update visual aids for seasonal market presentations with accuracy
  • Strength in managing time alongside manager & team to meet deadlines
  • Resourceful when problem solving
  • Able to pivot along with and anticipate changes in business needs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
