Assistant Buyer
SUMMARY
The assistant buyer assists in activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, parts, supplies. The assistant buyer is responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with the company's needs for indirect materials and services, fixed assets and tooling, and select production materials and services. These products and services are to be secured at cost quality and at delivery competitive levels consistent with company policy and performance standards.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and calculator, ten key by touch.

TRAVEL

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience and successful completion of the Purchasing process
- Proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and accounting software
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
- 2-to-3 years of related experience
PAY RANGE
$20-$26/Hourly
