Assistant Buyer

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for an Assistant Buyer for our Columbus, OH location. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure order statuses are effectively communicated.
• Call on, expedite, resolve, and maintain open Purchase Orders with updated, current, and pertinent information.
• Monitor and respond to assortment component needs to ensure on-time availability.
• Understand the flow of items from order to delivery.
• Update sales representatives on outstanding sales order statuses.
• Responsible for invoicing of drop-ship orders.
• Function as a point of phone and email contact for Purchasing-related questions.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in a purchasing support, customer support, or operations support role.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
• Ability to read and write small letters and numbers; make arithmetic calculations; and understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Follow oral and written instructions.

Schedule

This is a fully on-site position reporting to the office Monday through Friday.
