We are seeking for a dynamic Assistant Buyer to join our team in our Orlando facility. Salary starts at $19 per hour. A Junior Buyer in Iberia Foods (a large distributor of Caribbean and Hispanic food products) supports the purchasing and procurement process to ensure products (food & beverages) are available, cost-effective, and delivered on time. Key Responsibilities Typical Duties Include But Are Not Limited To Procurement & Purchasing Assist with purchase orders and ensure accuracy and complianceSource food and beverage products from approved suppliersHelp compare prices, quality, and delivery timelines for cost-effective buying Vendor & Supplier Management Communicate with vendors to confirm orders and delivery schedulesEvaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliabilityBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships Inventory & Supply Chain Support Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstockTrack shipments and resolve delaysSupport demand planning and product availability Market & Product Analysis Analyze food market trends and pricingResearch new products, brands, or alternativesStay updated on seasonal product availability Administrative Tasks Maintain accurate purchasing records (pricing, vendors, orders)Assist senior buyers with procurement strategiesEnsure compliance with company policies and food industry standards Position Requirements Strong analytical and negotiation skillsKnowledge of food products and supply chain processesAttention to detail and organizationGood communication and teamwork skillsBasic Excel / ERP system knowledge for procurement trackingBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)Entry-level experience or internship in procurement or logisticsInterest or background in the food & beverage industry EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
