About the role
The Assistant Buyer at GUESS?, LLC is responsible for supporting the buying team in identifying new product opportunities, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the quality and consistency of merchandise.
Responsibilities
- Identify new product opportunities and present them to the buying team
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions
- Assist in the development and execution of supplier relationships
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely restocking
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on product strategies and timelines
- Contribute to the analysis of market trends and consumer preferences
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in retail buying or supply chain management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain management software is a plus
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of retail industry standards and best practices
