Assistant Broadcast Engineer

About the role

The Broadcast Engineer/IT Technician will join Curtis Media Group's Engineering team in Raleigh, NC. The position is full-time and seeks candidates with experience in broadcast automation software and familiarity with radio studio equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deal with typical IT problems in an office environment
• Handle specialized issues specific to radio broadcasting
• Use Windows operating systems on various devices
• Familiarity with broadcast automation software such as MediaTouch, BE AudioVault, and Wide Orbit playout software
• Basic knowledge of radio studio and audio equipment
• Knowledge of Windows server software, Active Directory, and LAN architecture
• Some mechanical skills including hand tools, soldering, and studio construction

Requirements

• Familiarity with RF, broadcast transmitters, and associated equipment
• Experience with Windows operating systems on various devices
• Familiarity with broadcast automation software such as MediaTouch, BE AudioVault, and Wide Orbit playout software
