Assistant Branch Manager - Sales Manager Trainee

About the role

This is an onsite, entry-level financial services position with a competitive salary of $45,000 per year (paid hourly), plus an uncapped monthly bonus that averages $8,000 annually. You will go through an 18–24 month on-the-job paid training program to learn branch operations and management, with the goal of advancing to a Branch Manager position.

Your main focus will be helping customers meet their financial goals by originating new loan business, educating customers on lending services, and guiding them through the loan application process. You will also assist the Branch Manager with recruiting, training, and developing sales strategies to meet branch goals.

• Make credit decisions and administer loan closings
• Process insurance claims and make payment reminder calls

Promotion to Branch Manager typically requires relocation, for which we provide a full relocation package.

Responsibilities

• Originate new loan business by contacting current and potential customers
• Listen to customer needs and recommend loan and voluntary product solutions
• Educate customers on consumer lending services, credit improvement, and debt consolidation
• Assist customers through the loan application process and make payment reminder calls
• Evaluate loan applications, perform risk analysis, and make credit decisions
• Administer loan closings and process insurance claims
• Assist the Branch Manager with recruiting, training, and developing sales strategies
• Implement plans to meet sales goals while promoting core values
• Ensure an outstanding customer experience

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Finance, Sales, or related field preferred)
• 1+ years of customer-facing sales experience (retail, goal-oriented, or incentive-based preferred)
• Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
• Satisfactory driving record and ability to pass a criminal background check, credit history review, and pre-employment drug screen
• Eligibility for insurance licensing (based on state department of insurance background check)
• Willingness and ability to relocate for promotion into a Branch Manager role (full relocation package provided for moves over 50 miles)
