Overview Manages day-to-day branch operations, including opening and closing activities, to ensure efficient workflow, strong controls, and consistent client experience. Partners with the Branch Manager to execute sales and service standards, coach and develop staff, support deposit growth and other business development efforts, and resolve client and operational issues. Ensures adherence to Bank policies and procedures and applicable state and federal regulations. Position Goals Operational Control and Service Excellence – Ensure consistent, accurate, and efficient execution of branch operations and transaction processing to deliver a high-quality client experience and maintain strong operational controls. Team Leadership, Coverage, and Engagement – Lead, schedule, and develop branch staff to maintain appropriate coverage, strengthen accountability, and foster a motivated, inclusive, high-performing team culture. Sales Performance Through Client Needs – Drive growth by identifying client needs, promoting appropriate products and services, and supporting scorecard attainment through disciplined goal-setting and service-led sales execution. Risk Management, Fraud Awareness, and Compliance – Protect the Bank and clients by reinforcing operating policies and procedures, supporting fraud prevention awareness, and ensuring consistent adherence to regulatory and internal requirements. Planning, Communication, and Performance Reporting – Support execution of the Branch Business Plan through clear communication, team meetings, training and recognition activities, and timely reporting (e.g., audit and control reporting) to enable informed decision-making and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Branch Operations Management Oversee day-to-day branch operations, including teller activities, account opening support, ATM balancing, and night depository processing. Ensure accurate, efficient transaction processing and consistent execution of service standards. Staff Leadership and Coverage Schedule and coordinate staffing to ensure appropriate coverage and smooth daily operations. Mentor, coach, and support employee development to strengthen engagement, accountability, and performance. Support regular branch meetings and communications to keep staff informed and aligned. Client Service and Sales Execution Serve clients by resolving inquiries and complaints and guiding them to appropriate products and services. Drive sales through service by leveraging product knowledge to identify needs and support scorecard performance. Risk, Compliance, and Controls Maintain and reinforce branch policies and procedures, including timely review of updates with staff. Support fraud awareness and appropriate use of the Bank’s fraud prevention tools. Prepare required control and compliance reporting (e.g., monthly audit reports and quarterly FDICIA reports). Branch Planning and Performance Support Support development and execution of the Branch Business Plan, including team goals aligned to the scorecard. Plan and execute team activities such as promotions, contests, recognition, and training to support performance. Provide timely updates and reporting to the Branch Manager and internal partners as needed. Conducts post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and applies them to future initiatives to maintain productivity and operational continuity. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related banking role.Strong interpersonal, communication, and consultative sales skills, with the ability to build trust and deliver a high-quality client experience.Demonstrated supervisory and leadership capability; working knowledge of bank products and services, operating policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.Requires active Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration, or the ability to secure registration upon hire, and is contingent upon successful completion of a credit report review as part of the process.
