Assistant Branch Manager I
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure a customer-centric environment where building strong relationships is a priority.
- Inspire and motivate team members, offer recognition and reward, and lead by example.
- Engage in meaningful coaching sessions, both formal and informal.
- Identify talent, develop team members through training, regular coaching, and conducting employee performance assessments.
- Identify sales opportunities, deepen existing relationships, and grow market share in the communities served.
- Collaborate with internal business partners to uncover needs and make referrals for cross-selling products and services.
- Establish clear performance expectations for team members and employ consistent sales management practices.
- Employ a defined sales process including customer needs assessment, offering solutions, closing the business, onboarding, follow-up, outbound calling, and recording each point of customer contact in the Bank’s system of record.
- Show a general understanding of banking financials, including income statement and balance sheet, and manage the elements within control and authority.
- Be proficient with mobile smart phones and applications, including texting, email, and application management.
- Be proficient with desktop applications such as MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Be proficient using the Internet (mobile and desktop) to search for and locate information.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of related experience, and some supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Demonstrate the desire and ability to engage in ongoing development as a coach and leader.
- Internally, this position provides opportunity for the professional growth and advancement of Salem Five management candidates.
- Must be federally registered through the National Mortgage Licensing System and have individual records in good standing.
BUSINESS ACUMEN AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

BANKING OPERATIONS
- Show primary responsibility for overseeing all branch operations, including but not limited to overdraft management, vault management, ATM management, negotiable items, debit card issuance, account opening practices, adherence to policy and procedure, compliance requirements, the opening and closing of the office, and other such functions.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range.
