Assistant Branch Manager - Athens, GA

Starting salary: $19.00 per hour

About the role

This position leverages interpersonal skills and business knowledge to meet the needs of our customers. The Assistant Branch Manager works closely with the Branch Manager and staff to build relationships and identify customer needs, ensuring an exceptional customer experience through product and service expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop and ensure branch growth, profitability goals, and objectives are met
• Manage all loans, including approval of customer loans and sales finance contracts within delegated lending authority
• Maintain branch delinquency control and personally engage with delinquencies as appropriate
• Delegate daily assignments for solicitation to new and existing customers
• Oversee personnel management, including hiring, termination, disciplinary actions, and salary administration
• Exemplify and enforce impeccable customer service standards
• Ensure timely and efficient communication is disseminated to all branch employees
• Follow up on all audit results and recommendations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Onsite branch office work is essential (remote work is not permitted)
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in financial services, including customer interaction and staff management
• Ability to meet current licensing requirements of various state and federal regulators
• Demonstrated ability to analyze information and apply individual judgment
• Advanced interpersonal relationship skills across diverse social and business settings
• Ability to maintain confidential business and personal information
• Action- and results-focused mindset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with MS Office Suite products

Desired Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate an automobile (essential if no Branch Manager is available to perform this function)
