Assistant Beverage Manager

About the role

The Assistant Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the beverage program in a high-end restaurant setting. They ensure that all beverages are of the highest quality and meet the standards set by the executive chef.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily beverage service, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
• Manage inventory levels and order supplies to maintain optimal stock.
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure consistency in beverage pairings and menu integration.
• Train and manage a team of bar staff, providing guidance and feedback.
• Develop and implement new beverage programs based on market trends and customer feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in fine dining or upscale establishments.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and inventory effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
• Experience with bar management software and inventory systems.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of wine and spirits, including sommelier certification preferred.
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Passion for food and beverage service.

Skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Pay
