Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the Coordinator in supervising and planning the development and implementation of treatment programs contracted to VitalCore.
- Collaborates with the Coordinator in providing clinical and/or administrative supervision to staff of Behavioral Health Services.
- Collaborates with the Coordinator in monitoring the efforts of behavioral health services to ensure clinical services are being provided in a timely, professional manner. 0
- Performs individual and group therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
- Performs specific psychiatric social service work on the Behavioral Health unit of a correctional facility.
- Participates in and conducts in-service programs, as well as assists in the orientation of new staff.
- Assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs/projects.
- May direct special projects as requested.
- Provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records, and reports.
- Attends training and meetings as required.
- Assists in coordinating the facility’s Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Program.
Requirements
- Doctorate or Master’s degree in psychology or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Licensed to practice as an LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Licensed Psychologist in the state where services are being delivered.
- Satisfactory background investigation report.
- Extensive experience in behavioral health services, training, and supervision.
- Must possess strong clinical leadership and interpersonal skills within the correctional environment.
- Must possess familiarity with regional BH resources and networks.
- Must possess a solid grasp of VitalCore Policies and Forms.
Qualifications
Independently licensed as a LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Licensed Psychologist in the state of Florida.
Schedule
- Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm
- Shared on-call responsibility
- Cover other shifts and weekends as needed
