Assistant Basketball Coach-Girls

About the role

The following position is available at Fairfield Junior High: Assistant Girls Basketball Coach.

Responsibilities

• Support the head coach in planning and implementing the team's training sessions.
• Coach the girls' basketball team according to the school's philosophy and the coach's vision.
• Work closely with the head coach to develop and implement game strategies.
• Attend all games and practices to support the team.
• Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations set forth by the school and governing bodies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field.
• At least two years of successful coaching experience at the high school level.
• Experience playing basketball at the high school level preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of basketball rules and regulations.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
• Good organizational skills.

Skills

• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Knowledge of current trends and techniques in youth sports coaching.
