Responsibilities

  • Absorb and apply competent and working knowledge of all Essential Functions for all department positions.
  • Maintain and control supplies, inventory, and shrink.
  • Aid in maintaining accurate procedures for invoices, transfers, inventories, and ordering.
  • Order sufficient quantities of raw materials for production while maintaining proper retail pricing.
  • Ensure product quality and freshness, and maintain proper rotation.
  • Direct the stocking, display, and rotation of bakery products in the customer area.
  • Support communication with the Bakery Manager and subordinates.
  • Maintain a sanitary department in the customer area, cases/coolers, and back room areas.
  • Manage and maintain freezers and stock products as required.
  • Complete and submit shrink reports.
  • Apply competent knowledge and procedures for food preparation.
  • Be present at your workstation at the start of your shift.
  • Comply fully with and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance at all times while working and strictly adhere to the Dress Code policy.
  • Attend your job regularly to ensure the overall function of your department.
  • Comply with and enforce all policies contained within the Employee Handbook.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in managing a bakery department.
  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling practices.
