Assistant - Bag Machine Operator Nights 7:00pm - 7:00am

Responsibilities

• Assist operator in threading materials from parent roll through guides and rollers to cutters, gluer, printer, folding device, or electric sealer.
• Assist in starting machine, observe operation, and adjust machine to ensure uniform shearing, printing, folding, gluing, or sealing of continuous roll of material into finished bags.
• May insert shaft into core of parent roll and secure with steel collars, using hand tools, and mount roll onto machine, using hoist.
• Assist in operating machine in proper manner, maintaining high production and a quality product, with minimum waste, while maintaining set goals of machine speeds.
• Reference work orders for paper supply and requisition paper from the warehouse when necessary.
• Assist in diagnosing problems on machines and correct immediately to keep smooth production flow.
• Perform daily maintenance on machine including oiling machine, cleaning drum area, re-taping, and scraping down.
• Communicate well with other operators and teammates at shift change.
• Adhere and maintain equipment to all GMP and SQF regulations at all times.
• Ability to multi-task as well as work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Schedule

• 12hr Nights / Monday - Thursday / 7:00pm - 7:00am (Need 7)
• 12hr Nights / Rotating Schedule / 7:00pm - 7:00am (Need 4)

Shift premiums offering $1/hour, $1.50/hour.
