Assistant Athletic Coach - Track and Field

About the role

The assistant track and field coach will assist with conditioning and practices, with specific emphasis on the training of individuals competing in the field events (jumps, throws, etc.). They will also assist with fundraising and event planning and organization.

Responsibilities

• Affords technical coaching to student-athletes during practices and conditioning
• Affords assistance with fundraising
• Affords assistance with event planning and organization, including but not limited to home meets, alumni events, and conference meets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 1-3 years of related experience
• Knowledge of specific sport's concepts/strategies and NCAA rules and regulations
• Knowledge of physical conditioning techniques and weight training
• Knowledge of basic statistics
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Interpersonal/human relations skills
• Organizational/planning skills
• Leadership and motivational skills
