About the Role

The Department of Nursing is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing to join their faculty.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching in the classroom and conducting clinical teaching
  • Curriculum development
  • Participating in departmental and college-wide activities and committees
  • Grant writing
  • Assessment
  • Faculty development
  • Mentoring student projects
  • Academic advisement
  • Research and publications

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing required
  • Doctorate in Nursing, or other related areas, required
  • Current or eligibility for an unencumbered license to practice nursing in Maryland, Washington, DC, or a compact state
  • Expertise in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing
  • Strong, demonstrated record of clinical expertise, experience with assessment and evaluation of student learning outcomes
  • Expertise in primary care throughout the lifespan

Qualifications

  • Didactic experience in the main area of teaching at the collegiate level
  • Experience with total program evaluation and accreditation
  • Evidence of an active record of scholarship and service at the program, department and university levels
