Assistant/Associate Professor of Prosthodontics
Responsibilities
Support the delivery of the curriculum notably in the pre-clinical courses and labs in addition to the clinic.
Work with a team of dedicated faculty who are building on a rich legacy of excellence in dental education and expanding our capacity as a national resource in the dental profession.
Requirements
- Required DDS or DMD degree from an ADA/CODA accredited institution or an equivalent degree from an international program combined with an ADA/CODA accredited certificate of completion from an applicable specialty;
- Or a DDS or DMD degree from an ADA/CODA accredited institution with ADA/CODA accredited post graduate training in Advanced General Dentistry or demonstrated prosthodontic experience deemed commensurate with post-graduate training;
- Successful completion of Part I and Part II of the National Board Dental Examination or the Integrated National Board Dental Examination prior to the date of hire;
- An unrestricted Nebraska Dental License or be eligible to obtain an unrestricted Nebraska Dental License in a category for which they are eligible and also acquire credentialing from applicable third-party payer systems;
- A strong organizational and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a collegial, interdisciplinary environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- A specialty certificate and/or Master of Science in Prosthodontics from an ADA accredited prosthodontic program;
- A Certificate from a post graduate program in General Dentistry (AEGD/GPR); or a multi-year general dentistry commitment as part of military service with experiential evidence of course assignments in clinical, laboratory, classroom teaching support of prosthodontic curriculum (removable/fixed/implants).
- Prior full-time or >50% dental academic position with experiential evidence of course assignments in clinical, laboratory, classroom teaching support of prosthodontic curriculum (removable/fixed/implants).
