About the role

The University of Cincinnati Donald P. Klekamp College of Law invites applications from entry-level and lateral candidates for a full-time, open rank tenure-track or tenured faculty position in tax law with an expected start date of August 15, 2027. Successful candidates will be expected to teach federal income tax and business tax and other subjects based on the College’s curricular needs and candidates’ preferences. Faculty members are welcome to engage with the College’s various programs and centers, such as the Corporate Law Center, The Cincinnati Center of the Global Practice of Law, the Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic, and the Nathaniel R. Jones Center for Race, Gender, and Social Justice.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and teach assigned courses and seminars.
  • Attend meetings, participate in governance, and prepare materials for teaching.
  • Evaluate and develop curriculum for department and/or college.
  • Evaluate student coursework.
  • Serve on college or university committees and participate in curriculum development activities.
  • Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of responsibilities.
  • Render service to the professional or lay community relevant to the individual’s academic specialty.
  • Review and, where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Possess a J.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Demonstrate excellent academic credentials.
  • Show potential for outstanding teaching and scholarship.
