Responsibilities

  • Assist in teaching body system modules during the first and second spirals of the DVM curriculum, with an emphasis on Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology.
  • Oversee the development and administration of the department's postgraduate degree programs.
  • Supplemental Teaching: Contribute to core and elective course instruction across the DVM and graduate programs.
  • Participate in Integrated Team Instruction, focusing on small-group, collaborative learning methods.
  • Engage in teaching Professionalism and Clinical Skills as part of the broader curriculum.
  • Research and Scholarly Activities: Promote and support research initiatives among faculty and graduate students and through interdisciplinary collaboration with other schools.
  • Provide mentorship to faculty and graduate students, especially junior faculty, fostering development in teaching, research, and postgraduate programs.
  • Participate in the following University Activities: Faculty Senate, Departmental Meetings, Departmental Faculty Evaluations, College/University committees.

Qualifications

  • DVM and/or PhD from an accredited institution.
  • Board eligible or board certification in Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology is preferred.
  • Experience and interest in Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology research is highly desired.

Pay

SALARY: $149,864 - $196,539 per year. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.
