The Role

This is a College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP) Faculty-level position within Western University of Health Sciences and is offered in conjunction with an administrative appointment. Together, the faculty role of Assistant/Associate Professor (PCN F03355) and the administrative role (PCN A04048) comprise a full-time position (1.0 FTE).

Responsibilities

  • Train students according to the mission of COMP.
  • Mentor and be a role model for students.
  • Teach the full scope of medicine as defined by current College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific policies and practices in any medical or surgical specialty.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.
  • Residency trained and Board Certified in a medical or surgical specialty.
  • Experience in any medical or surgical specialty.

Qualifications

  • Unrestricted California State license (or eligible to obtain CA state licensure).
  • Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency certificate.

Skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only. Expected Pay Scale Minimum: $248,000.00 Annually Maximum $263,000.00 Annually

Schedule

This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE).
