Assistant, Associate or Professor Division of Pediatric Dentistry

The University of Kentucky, College of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track Assistant, Associate or Professor position in the Division of Pediatric Dentistry, Department of Oral Health Science.

The anticipated start date for this assignment is July 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Supervising dental students and pediatric dentistry residents in their clinical care of patients, providing direct clinical care for patients which may include the operating room, directing and teaching predoctoral courses for Pediatric Dentistry, conducting seminars and lectures for Resident and dental students.
• Serving as a member of college committees.
• Providing direct patient care as a participant in UK-Healthcare.
• Supervising pediatric dentistry residents and dental students in the clinical care of patients in outpatient and possibly cases treated under general anesthesia in the operating room.
• Participating in the on-call schedule of the attending dental staff.
• Participating in Division patient care and teaching activities at off campus sites as needed.

Requirements

• Advanced education in pediatric dentistry is required.
• The faculty member must be accepted as a member of the active Medical Staff of the University Hospital.

Qualifications

• D.M.D. or D.D.S. degree from a CODA accredited institution or proof of graduation from a non-CODA accredited dental school and evidence that the degree makes the candidate eligible to practice dentistry in the jurisdiction from which the applicant graduated.
• Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
• Maintenance of a dental license within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
• Maintenance of Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Demonstrate ability in clinical and didactic teaching.
