Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientist - Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Research

About the role

The Division of Regenerative Medicine within the Department of Medicine at the University of California San Diego is recruiting Project Scientists to focus their research on stem cell and regenerative medicine, investigating hematopoietic stem cell function and aging.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets
• Develop and optimize experimental approaches
• Teach and mentor junior laboratory personnel
• Contribute to manuscripts, presentations, and grant-related activities
• Submit research grants independently
• Perform research projects in collaboration with faculty in the Division

Qualifications

• PhD in Cell, Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, or other relevant areas/disciplines
• Appointments will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientist level based on background and experience

Pay

The posted salary range is $74,100 - $119,600, with the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment according to the UC Academic Salary Scales for Project Scientist.
