About the role

The position involves providing high-quality anesthesia care across a full spectrum of general surgical cases with the exception of OBGYN and Pediatrics, opportunities to teach residents and medical students within an established academic program, and collaboration with surgeons, CRNAs, CAA's, and APPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality anesthesia care across a full spectrum of general surgical cases with the exception of OBGYN and Pediatrics
• Teach residents and medical students within an established academic program
• Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, CAA's, and APPs
• Mix of inpatient and outpatient anesthesia services

Requirements

• Board certified or in the board examination process of the American Board of Anesthesiology
• Demonstrated interest in the highest standards of medical care, resident and medical student education, and clinical, teaching and administrative duties as required by the Department of Anesthesiology of the University of Toledo
• Committed to the education of fellows, residents and medical students
• Eligible for credentialing at the University of Toledo, the University of Toledo Medical Center and affiliated healthcare institutions

Qualifications

• Education: MD or DO
• Eligible for or in possession of a valid medical license from the state of Ohio
• Committed to the education of fellows, residents and medical students
• Eligible at the University of Toledo and the University of Toledo Medical Center at the level of Instructor (board-eligible), Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor
• Committed to the education of fellows, residents and medical students
• Eligible for credentialing at the University of Toledo, the University of Toledo Medical Center and affiliated healthcare institutions
