Assistant/Associate/ Full Professor Veterinary Small Animal Medicine
About the role
The Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine (LIU-CVM) in Brookville, New York, invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Small Animal Medicine. Appointments are available on either the tenure or clinical track as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Successful candidates will engage in educational, research, and service activities.
Responsibilities
- Active engagement in curriculum development, identification or creation of innovative learning resources, and committee service participation (such as admissions, curriculum, research, etc.)
- Contribute to the overall research and scholarly goals of the College of Veterinary Medicine and develop independent or collaborative research in small animal medicine within and outside LIU, which may include working with LIU-CVM partners/affiliate veterinary hospitals.
Qualifications
- A DVM or equivalent degree and expertise in small animal medicine
- Specialty board certification/eligibility by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM SA) or equivalent
- Advanced training in small animal medicine and research
- Proven ability to promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusiveness
- Working knowledge of curricular design and implementation
