Assistant Apparel Designer (Scrubwear & Underscrubs)

FIGS is seeking an Assistant Designer to support the development of Scrubwear and Underscrubs across men’s and women’s categories. This role partners closely with the Senior Designer and Design Director to execute seasonal product from concept through development. You will contribute through strong organization, technical execution, and design support, building a foundation in performance-driven, functional apparel within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. What You’ll Do Execute sketches, CADs, and visual materials under direction of the Senior DesignerSupport translation of seasonal concepts into product across Scrubwear and UnderscrubsAssist in preparing presentation materials and design boardsAssist in building and updating tech packs under directionTrack and organize development components (lab dips, trims, strike-offs, mock-ups)Support execution of deliverables aligned to seasonal calendarsConduct trend, market, and competitive researchOrganize and present findings to support seasonal developmentAttend fittings, capture detailed notes, and track updatesMaintain organized records of fit and design changesSupport communication across teams by tracking updates and next stepsFollow up on action items to keep projects movingMaintain organized design files, boards, and seasonal materialsTrack deadlines and support overall team workflow and efficiency Requirements 1–3 years of experience in apparel design (internships included)Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferredBasic understanding of garment construction, fit, and materialsProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)Ability to create clean, accurate technical sketches and CADs Other Must-Haves Strong collaboration and communication skills with a team-first mindsetHigh level of ownership, initiative, and follow-through; reliably delivers on commitmentsDetail-oriented with a proactive, get-it-done approach to problem solvingPositive, solutions-focused attitude; thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environmentBrings energy, curiosity, and a consistent drive to learn and growWillingness to support across all aspects of the design process—no task too smallPassion for thoughtful, functional design that elevates and supports healthcare professionals FIGS Compensation And Benefits Pay Range At FIGS, your base salary is one part of your total compensation package. This role's hourly range is between $29 and $31. Actual salary is determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to your relevant skills, qualifications, and years of experience.
